Replacement Theory

Replacement Theory: Origins, Critics, and Effects

0 0

Replacement theory, or the great replacement, is a conspiracy theory that was created and promoted by white nationalists. Renaud Camus, a French author, was credited with popularizing this theory. Camus also claims that the French were forced to emigrate to the United States during World War II in an effort to eliminate any lingering racial tensions. But has the Great Replacement theory really happened? Read on to discover its origins, critics, and effects on the modern world.

White replacement theory

There is a great replacement theory out there – one that says white people are being deliberately replaced by immigrants. The replacement theory is a neo-Nazi theory based on ideas that have been perfected over decades in racist conferences and publications. It has remained largely on the fringes of our society until 2014, when it crashed into the heart of the internet’s meme factories. But how can we tell whether this theory is true?

The Buffalo shooter’s document cites 4chan charts, mass shooter documents, and a publication from the White nationalist group. It falsely states that Jews are spreading critical race theory, as well as White guilt, shame, and guilt. Furthermore, the document falsely argues that the replacement theory is a well-meaning effort to make society more equitable for the White race. Ultimately, this theory is dangerous for our society, and it should be taken seriously.

Its origins

The far right’s rise to power was fueled by ideas of replacement theory. After the Holocaust, a French far right intellectual group called Nouvelle Droite became a mainstream political force. Its ideas morphed into a more conservative version of the populist view, which was popularized by the Nazis. It spread to identitarian movements in Europe and the US, as well as the alt-right. These groups’ stance on racism and the discourse surrounding cultures and cultural power helped to spread the idea of replacement theory.

The Buffalo shooter’s document includes several sources, including 4chan charts and mass shooter documents. It also cites an old White nationalist publication. In this document, the suspects claim that Jews are spreading critical race theory and spreading White guilt and shame. In fact, the document also falsely claims that Jews are spreading “crisis theory” and “white shame.” The paper also falsely states that replacement theory is a well-meaning effort to make society more equitable.

Its spread

Its spread in replacement theory has come as no surprise to those who’ve been following political and social media trends. Until recently, prominent conservatives, such as Tucker Carlson of Fox News, have been espousing it without calling it what it really is, while distinguishing it from the more racist, white supremacist version. But in recent weeks, many of these conservatives have gone beyond mere endorsements to embrace the doctrine. This progression is most visible in the case of Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who was recently called out for his racism by the Anti-Defamation League.

The replacement theory is also a theory of cultural supremacy. In 2017, the Unite the Right movement in Charlottesville, Virginia, chanted the phrase, “You will not replace us.” The following year, in 2017, the theory was spread to the US by the alt-right, as well as the European identitarian movements. The spread of replacement theory was facilitated by the far right’s stance against racism and its focus on culture and cultural power.

Republicans LOSE IT after history of Great Replacement Theory is EXPOSED (Full Episode)

0 0

The shooting in Buffalo targeting black people. The shooting in Pittsburg targeting Jewish worshipers. The shooting in El Paso targeting Mexican immigrants. The shooting in Christchurch, NZ targeting Muslims. What do they all have in common? The Great Replacement Theory. The idea that white people are being deliberately replaced. Remember the white supremacists in Charlottesville? They were chanting, “You will not replace us! Jews will not replace us!”. This false and ignorant, race-baiting conspiracy is ripping our country apart and the right wing media, in combination with right wing politicians, are the ones adding fuel to fire and it, and they, must be stopped.

011 | Replacement Theory and Practice

0 0

It is irrefutably true that the United States government replaces its obligation to the interests of the American people with ever-expanding commitments to global causes and fealty to powerful Washington swamp factions and lobbies. The most concerning way in which they do this is with policy designed to maximize immigration, no matter the cost, downside, or destructive consequences to the people of this country.

This episode explores the government's shockingly exploitative, unjust, and cruel immigration policy that harms American citizens and even the new arrivals under the guise of compassion and humanitarianism. Illustrating the depths of the depravity, this episode features a discovery Paige made that the government resettles the most unaccompanied illegal immigrant children in areas of the country where industries that seek cheap foreign labor, such as meatpacking plants, are located.

About THIS IS YOUR COUNTRY:
Former White House political adviser Paige Willey delivers a relentless deep dive into the current American condition. Drawing on her experience in Washington, she studies the dysfunction facing our country and outlines the way forward to restore our nation’s promise.

Paige believes the great questions of our time will not be resolved with talking points and platitudes. THIS IS YOUR COUNTRY gets straight to the heart of the matter. Politics and strategy will be studied. The corrupt and craven ruling class will be skewered. Our degraded economy, society and culture will be scrutinized. Why? Because the American ethos has always been to believe a better way is possible—then to make it happen.

Americans deserve a champion. The promise of our nation is slipping away. It’s time to build the great American revival.

61% Of GOP Believes In Great Replacement Theory | The Kyle Kulinski Show

"The first time I ever really listened to Kyle Kulinski’s show was in the back of a cab last summer. The driver had his phone hooked up through the stereo and was pumping out an episode through the car speakers — loudly, as if looking to convert a captive audience.

“Do you like Kyle Kulinski?”

The driver, Ahmed, was a recent immigrant and apparently a die-hard fan of Secular Talk, the political talk show that Kulinski broadcasts on YouTube. I told him, yes, in fact. I do like Kulinski, had come across his show several years ago, and, all things considered, he seemed pretty good.

“He understands what we’re up against,” Ahmed said. “Like Bernie.”

But I was surprised to hear Kulinski’s name mentioned in the same breath as Bernie Sanders, particularly with such adoration. Because what I did remember about Kulinski’s show struck me as mostly capital-P “progressive” takes on the news — the left wing of the Netroots crowd more than the democratic socialism Sanders has popularized.

It’s an impression that wasn’t entirely incorrect.

“I have no time for philosophical, airy bullshit,” Kulinski tells me from his home in Westchester, New York. “I don’t want to hear about Lenin. I don’t want to hear about Marx. I just want a super plainspoken, straightforward agenda with a straightforward way of selling it.”

With over 800,000 subscribers and nearly 670 million total views on YouTube, selling a progressive agenda is clearly something Kulinski knows how to do — even Democracy Now, the long-standing flagship of progressive media, cannot match his reach on the platform. Chapo Trap House can certainly boast a wildly devoted fan base (and a not insignificant degree of media influence), but their audience is roughly half the size of Kulinski’s.

While Secular Talk might be more likely to be looped in with the progressive networks around Air America and Pacifica alums like Sam Seder than the more resolutely socialist world, Kulinski’s fiery rhetoric, razor-sharp class instincts, and knack for withering takedowns sets him apart from his peers. Judging by his rhetoric alone, he’s closer to a Eugene Debs than a Chris Hayes.

But unlike Hayes, Amy Goodman, or his friend Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks — who began airing Secular Talk on his web network seven years ago — the thirty-two-year-old Kulinski is virtually invisible in the mainstream media. Despite his enormous fan base, his show has never once been mentioned in the obligatory trend pieces on “the Millennial Left” pumped out by the prestige media. Nor has Kulinski’s name ever popped up at all in the New York Times, Vox, the New Yorker, New York Magazine, or the Washington Post, despite his leading role in cofounding Justice Democrats, the organization widely credited with sweeping Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the rest of “the Squad” to power.

Just last week, his Wikipedia page was deleted. The reason? “There is very simply no [reliable source] coverage of this person,” according to one moderator. In new media, he’s king — the Sean Hannity of the Berniecrat left. In old media, he’s nobody.

I suspect there are a few reasons for that. There is nothing “cool” about Kulinski’s show. (As a friend put it, “‘Welcome to Secular Talk’ sounds like something you’d hear on Egyptian radio.”) His no-nonsense social-democratic politics won’t get him much cred with the Full Communism crowd. He records his show not in Brooklyn or Los Angeles, but in a studio he built himself in his modest Westchester home. His hair is too groomed and his taste in clothes too preppy to qualify as “Dirtbag Left.” Nor has he ever attended an n+1 release party. “Not only have I not attended one,” he says, “I have no idea what that means.”

And yet he’s astonishingly plugged-in for a young man in the suburbs. Wondering how Sanders ended up on the Joe Rogan Experience? Kulinski, a frequent guest on Rogan’s wildly popular show, introduced them. “You make the most sense to me,” Rogan told Kulinski on a recent episode. “You’re a normal person.”

Much like Sanders himself, Kulinski’s show has a massive audience that just doesn’t compute with our media’s understanding of “what the kids want” or even “what the left-wing kids want.”

It’s probably for the best — the very woke and very WASP-ish decorum haunting much of the media world is nowhere to be found in Secular Talk. “Corporate Democrats over-focus on identity as a trick to divert you from the issues that unite us all — class issues,” he said on a recent episode. “That Raytheon decided they don’t hate gays or trans people — frankly, I don’t really give a shit what their take on that is…"

There’s no “great replacement theory” taking place!

I think those who are worried about being replaced are paranoid. It just occurred to me that there is really no such of a thing as a "great replacement theory." Such fears are racist paranoia.

Replacement Theory Is Everywhere. Here’s Why.

0 0

On May 14, an 18-year-old gunman opened fire at a Tops grocery store in Buffalo, NY, killing 10. All 10 were Black, something the gunman specifically sought out. As it was revealed shortly after, in his writings, he ascribed not only to white supremacist ideology, but identified himself as an “eco-fascist,” falling into not only a growing trend but also into something very uniquely American. The Replacement Theory has been in headlines since the Buffalo shooting and, while its been attributed to the current crop of the right in this country, it’s actually something that underpins much of U.S. history, as well as modern development work. In this episode of “Backspace,” Sana delves into the nefarious origins of the overpopulation myth, how the media continues to promote it, and how it doesn’t have any place in the conversation and coverage around the climate crisis.
